Lunch and Dinner

The Pleasanton Hotel is open for lunch and dinner, serving a wide variety of your favorite meals with a smile. We offer a wide selection of fish and seafood, chicken, steak, pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches and more, along with a large selection of appetizers and desserts, and full beverage service.  Lunch Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-2:00, Dinner Tuesday-Saturday 5:30-8:30, Sunday 4:30 - 7:30.

After lunch we feature our Victorian High Tea from 2:00 - 3:30.  Set in our elegant Victorian dining rooms or our cozy Fireside Room, our Teas receive raves, be it our Adult High Tea or our popular childrens Teddy Bear Tea.

Sunday Champagne Buffet Brunch

For many years we have been recognized by many local publications and voters as the Best Sunday Brunch in the area. Try our Brunch once and you will return as a regular, bringing your friends, family and associates.  We work very hard at providing an exciting selection of breakfast and lunch items and cater to large groups, be it family celebrations or Club Rallies.  Brunch every Sunday 10:30 - 1:30 except extended hours on Easter and Mother's Day.

Banquets and Meetings, Weddings and Off-Site Catering

Make your next event or meetings special! Hold it at  the Pleasanton Hotel. Our helpful staff, led by Gerard Lek and Lucy Buckley can help you put together a menu that's just right for your group.  We also offer off-premise Catering including drop-off, drop-off with service or fully staffed catering.

Live Entertainment

We feature live Bands or other special entertainment most nights of the week. For a complete schedule, see our monthly calendar (click here).  We currently feature Traditional Jazz and Swing Bands every Tuesday, John DeKoven and Friends Comedy Showcase every  Wednesday \( 6-8 Comedians for only $8.00 ),  Fred McCarty and his guitar on Thursdays and dance bands every Friday and Saturday.  From late May - September we feature our "Blues on the Patio", featuring the best of Blues, BBQ and Booze every Thursday after work!

Special Events

We are famous for our twice monthly Mystery Dinner Show, when the audience is challenged to solve "the murder".  Performed by the Gibson House Mystery Performers, shows change every month.  Some of our popular shows are "Murder at the Pleasanton Hotel"...its bingo night, "Murder by Election"...a townhall debate, "Murder on the Sea of Love"...and its talent night, "Funeral for a Gangster"...another memorial service for Vito "The Gut" Marzetti, "Par 4 for Murder"...another deadly shot on the 18th green,  "The Maltese Crow Murder"...detective Sam Shovel recreates...and "Weddings are Murder"...a deadly wedding reception.  Join the fun and laughs!

Winemaker Dinners have been popular at the "Hotel" for over 15 years. We schedule dinners monthly, featuring our own Livermore Valley wineries as well as selected wineries from Mendocino, Napa, Sonoma and the Gold Country.  Our Executive Chef Chris Smith has participated in many Wine Dinners and creates exciting food and wine pairings.  A great way to spend a evening with friends....and meet new friends as well!

Our kitchen, led by Executive Chef Chris Smith offers Participation Cooking Classes. Held on Monday evenings, we offer an opportunity for "Cooks" to work in a real live restaurant kitchen...which can be abit overwhelming when compared to a typical home kitchen. Cooks may invite guests to join them for Dinner (as prepared by the Cooks) at the end of the Cooking Class. Dinners are served with local wines.  Each class features foods from a different country or region or seasonal menus.
